Treatment of MS with mesenchymal stem cells

• Participation in the international phase 2 trial on mesenchymal stem cells in MS http://www.mesems.org/
• MESEMS-Consortium (lead: Prof. Antonio Ucelli, Genova): Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Iran, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
• Global recruitment until 11/2017: 154 patients (4 from Salzburg)
• Local recruitment is ongoing for patients with PPMS and SPMS (until 6/2018)
• Inclusion criteria: disease duration 2–15 years, EDSS 2,5 - 6,5, age 18–50 years
